Sorry for the delay, too much stuff happening (bought house, fixing it, moved to 3 diff. jobs, etc) that i haven't got the chance to continue the epic story of Xan and his comrades. Well hope to see this continuation this next few weeks, in due time :D

Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3:

Lost for words

                     "Hey Xan. What happened? You look like you're puzzled. Can I help you with anything?" asked Reiku, who just came back after buying supplies for their long journey ahead. After their stay in Quillsboro, they are planning to go north, towards Fendershire, where news broke out that there's a man who escaped prison and killed all the people in his path, without leaving anyone alive. Xan was still thinking, and even after seeing Reiku with bags of supplies in both her arms, didn't even offer to help and said: "I'm ok. Just wondering that's all. Where's your brother? Have you seen him?" "No I haven't. I just went to the market and the tool shop. I got great deals and without stealing too." Both just rested after that until Reifou returned. "Hey Xan, guess what? Some kids told me that there was this guy who had just killed a lot of thugs including an innocent girl. Could he be the one you're looking for?" Xan taught for a minute, remembering the feeling he felt when he saw him killing all those people. What if...

                     After a few hours, Xan decided it's time to go forth. Reifou insisted on looking for the guy he just heard about, thinking that maybe he's connected to what Xan was looking for. But Xan finally told him: "Reifou, I saw what happened, I was there. i could say he intrigued me in a way, but I don't think he's the one I'm looking for. Let's go and check out Fendershire City." Reiku told her brother to just let it go, and then finally the three set off to the defense city of Fendershire. Walking alone Hyuit Road, they stoppped to catch a breather. Reiku opened her bag or treats when suddenly, a group of Gobgon thieves came springing out from the bushes.(Gobgons are extinct group of creatures that are a mix of goblins and dragons, hence the name. They have physical characteristics of a goblin, but have the fiery spirit of a dragon. No abilities or techniques within them, this group of creatures thrive by ganking passers-by and stealing their belongings.)

                     "Give us your food! We will kill you if you don't!!" said Dre'ckr, leader of GHG, or Gobgon Hyuit Gang. he spoke with a weird dialect, not everyone can comprehend. he is small, but stern in stature. He handles a spear on his left arm, while holding a stout shield on his right. His minions seemed clueless onto what's going on, but they did Dre'ckr's orders anyway. Caught in the confusion, Reiku and Reifou was wondering what they could do. Meanwhile Xan had other things in mind. "Who are you? You dare threaten me?" Xan said in an angry manner, with his fiery eyes gazing upon Dre'ckr. Dre'ckr responded: "I am Dre'ckr, leader of our clan! You must be crazy to insult us, and for that we shall see. Get 'em!!!" Immediately after he said that, his minions started attacking Reiku, Reifou, and Xan, who was enraged with all of this.

                     Reifou punched one of the minions in the head, quickly stunning him easily. Reiku simultaneously took out her poison needles she had prepared beforehand, and threw it at them with ease. Xan just stood there, watching Reifou and Reiku defend him against those creatures. One by one, the Gobgons fell, without doing any harm to anyone of them. Reifou and Reiku's defenses never let anyone touch or harm Xan, who was still infuriated with what's going on.

                     Meanwhile, Dre'ckr was in a shock, knowing that he's at a lost, decided to quit attacking and just flee "Fall back; we are no match for them. FALL BACK NOW!" he shouted. Before anyone could do so, Reiku ran towards their escape route and hitting the remaining Gobgons with her poison needles, leaving Dre'ckr the only one alive. Dre'ckr was so pissed that he decided to attack Reifou, who was defending Xan. "Feel my Gobgon wrath you mongrel! You may have defeated everyone in my gang, but you haven't seen my strength!!! Take this!" He was agile, due to his small stature, and was able to thrust his spear to Reifou that it struck him in the side, wounding him. Reifou stumbled to the ground, whilst Reiku ran towards her brother. Suddenly seeing what happened, Xan fought back "You gonna regret doin that". Xan suddenly took out his dagger and slashed Dre'ckr in his right arm, dropping his shield. Dre'ckr was startled due to the quickness of Xan's attack. He tried stabbing Xan with his spear, when Xan vanished in front of him. He didn't knew that Xan had gone to the rear side "What the!" *thrusts* "ugh... this is not good..." said Dre'ckr. He just realized that Xan was behind carving his dagger up his spine. "You..... Imbecile as you are... Will not survive this... Ughh". stated Dre'ckr, then falling in the ground. Xan quickly turned to tend to his comrade, who was wounded while defending him.

                     What had just happened? Why am I concerned for him? Xan was confused, but still went to check up on Reifou. "How is he Reiku? Will he make it?" "I believe it's not a major cut, not hitting any vital organs. But just in case he dabbed his spear with poison or any type of dangerous substance, we need to go see a doctor or something." I'm ok Xan, Don't worry bout..." *coughs blood* "ugh... I'm ok really. Just help me get up Reiku" said Reifou. He was weakened all of a sudden, due to the lost of blood or maybe the after effects of some type of chemical in the tip of the spear. Is he poisoned? This is not good Xan decided to postpone the trip to Fendershire, and was in a hurry to find a doctor of some sorts.

Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2:

A mournful event

                     "Hey Xan, where are we going today? I taught we are going to look for your father, but why are we here?!" said Reiku. Reifou warned her not to comment about Xan's plans, but she still did otherwise. Xan answered, showing some annoyance "We are here because I noticed some killings have been done here in Quillsboro (town of rangers). There seems to be a group of thugs that thrive here, killing innocent kids and stealing from them. I wonder if one of them could be my father." "Oh I see, well we'll help you look for him by asking around the town. What is his name?" reifou asked, when suddenly Xan grabbed his neck, shover him to the ground and stated in a very angry manner "You shall never ask me what his name is. If you must gather info from townspeople, ask them if they have seen of heard about "Wild X"." "Got it Xan, but first could you release me now?" he squeaked, whilst breathing intensely. Xan released his hand, while Reiku tended to his brother's neck. Xan's grip was so strong (from all the hunting he had done over the years) that it always leaves a mark.


                     Reifou left to gather info from townsfolk, while Reiku collected some supplies for their long journey. Meanwhile, Xan had other plans. He heard about a guy who had a tramendous talent for shooting. He is so good that people tremble in fear whenever he's around town. Xan tried to ask around about him or his whereabouts but sadly everyone's scared of even opening the topic.

                     Just when he was heading towards the inn to rest, some group of thugs started harrassing the kids that were passing by, threatening to kill them if they don't hand over their money. The kids were frightened when all of a sudden; a tall, slender guy appeared in front of them. He had a broad-trimmed brown hat and coat to match it. He was holding two guns, a pistol on the left and a rifle on the right. he looked angry; his eyes were sharp, ready to kill.

                     He spoke in a very mild, casual manner though. "Let me through, or you'll be sorry mateys. I'll not gonna ask again." The thugs didn't even care when he said that, and the leader decided to grab one of the kids, holding a knife upon her neck, and counteract the situation. "Who do you think you are to threaten us? Are you insane or you just want to die right now?! Don't move or I'll kill this girl!!!" The guy stopped for a bit, staring at them with glaring eyes, then the leader continued: "Disarm the guy and grab his stuff." The thugs close up to him, but as soon as someone was about to touch his gun, he immediately shot the girl in the chest, instantly killing her in the spot. Everyone was shocked, even Xan who was just watching by from afar. The guy quickly shot the thugs, one in the head and the others in the chest, stomach, and neck. He used his guns so efficiently, like those were a part of him. He shot them once each, without wasting energy but with unbelievable precision. All died except the leader, which got surprised after what had happened.

                     The guy quickly disarmed the thug leader by shooting him in both his hands and legs, with remarkable accuracy. Within minutes, the leader was kneeling in front of him, slowly bleeding out from the wounds he got. He didn't have the energy to scream from all the pain he feels, but he managed to ask the guy: "Who are you... and why did you kill the girl?... I taught you were trying to rescue her?..." His voice was fading away slowly, much like his life before him when the guy responded: "I am not here to uphold justice or or to abide by it. I killed the girl 'cause she'll just be a hindrance to my attempt of goin through. I don't care if you are doin something wrong, but you dare threaten my babies... No one shall endanger them or take them away from me. I warned you didn't I? Death is the punishment for disobeyin my rule." After he said that, he raised his rifle, aimed it at the thug's face, and shot him.

                     The kids were traumatized so much that they didn't care that they were saved, instead of thanking the guy, as soon as the thug leader was dead, they quickly ran away from him. The guy, cleaning his babies, went on his way. From afar was Xan, who was thinking about what just happened. He was amazed and confused, yet intrigued and dumbfounded. He has a lot of questions for the guy, but the main thing in his mind was... Could he be... He is a lot like me."

Chapter 1

CHAPTER 1:

First Encounter

                     "Don't go Xan... it's too dangerous!" cried Reiku. Over the gruesome swamp they walked, searching for the enemy they never met, not knowing where and when their fate would be decided. This is their story...

                     We start off with Xanixiel, a lonely wanderer with one purpose in life, to know who his father was, and ask him why he was left alone in the wild. He was forced to learn how to survive; from killing wild animals to making shelter out of the blistering coldness of the wind. He knew how to slew with ease, for some reason he could not explain. Thinking he got the talent from his father, he wanders around searching around places that killing had been prominent.

                     One day, he was walking headed towards Gnollwood (city of despair) when he met Reiku and Reifou. they're twins born of elf and human parents. Forced to be sent off to oblivion (due to the fact that elves and humans aren't allowed to be together), their parents sent the two in a makeshift raft designed to reach the other side of the river with a message that states: "Please take care of them".

                     "We'll take your money, thank you!" shouted Reifou, while Reiku was behind Xan with a dagger on her hand. She was inching close to him when Xan said: "Stop, wait a minute there. Who are you guys?" Reifou responded: "You don't know us?! We're the bandit elfman twins of Knightingale!!" (Elfman is the term for people born from an elf and a human) Reiku added: "We've been robbing people ever since, and you never heard about us?! This is an insult to our reputation!" She was about a shadow away when Xan instantly vanished in front of them. "Where did he go?" she yelped, while her brother replied: "Dunno. but that was weird; he was right in front of us!"

                     The two were mesmerized when Xan quickly showed up from Reiku's side, holding her hand and recovering the dagger. "Oh shoot!!" What in the heck is happening?!" She stumbled to the side and reifou took a blade out and tried to attack Xan. he shoved the blade not knowing that Xan evaded it. Xan then took the blade right out of his hands and quickly restrained him by holding his left arm and right leg in one continuous motion.

                     Reifou was stunned and Reiku was holding her hand from the mark left by Xan's mighty grip. The two quickly said in sync: "We're so sorry mighty one, but who have we badly wronged? We'll repent ourselves and by proving that, we'll follow you 'til the depths of time!" Xan stood there, looking at them kneeling in front of him, then stated: "Don't you forget who I am, 'cause it'll be your doom. I am Xanixiel, born from the wild. I am known for my skill as a killer. I have one objective, and that's to find my father. I'll forgive you and even let you accompany me but I give you a warning. If you ever try to do anything close to that kind of ridiculous stunt you just did horridly, I'll swear I'll end your life!!! I will always have an eye on you two, remember that." The two bowed in front of him, then politely responded: "Yes master, we will remember this day and serve you 'til we die." Xan then corrected them: "Don't call me master, instead call me Xan".
